Gresham Station Halloween Spooktacular!

Gresham Station Shopping Center is proud to announce a community partnership to assist our East County neighbors in need with Snowcap Community Charities, the largest provider of food assistance in the State of Oregon. For the past year, Harsch Investment Properties, the owner and operator of Gresham Station, has been hosting the SnowCap Community Charities Pop Up Shop here at the center. This space has allowed SnowCap to offer their clients a space to shop for new and gently used clothing, toys, school supplies, and crafts.

Kicking off Friday, August 13! Gresham Station is hosting a Back-to-School Drive for SnowCap Community Charities that will bring financial relief to families with students eager to embark on a new school year.

Ways you can help:

Purchase an item from SnowCap’s wishlist at any of our Gresham Station Shopping Center retailers and drop off in one of the donation bins located around the center;

If you can’t make it to Gresham Station Shopping Center by August 20:

Consider making a direct monetary donation to SnowCap Community Charities (donation link). Your contribution will be used to bulk-purchase needed items for students;

Starting today, Old Navy Gresham Station is OPEN to customers! A grand reveal is scheduled for this Saturday, July 3. Providing the latest fashions at great prices, Old Navy has the hottest trends for men, women, women plus, kids, baby and maternity wear.

Old Navy Now Open at Gresham Station

As most Gresham locals know, Sweet Betty’s Bistro is a lively breakfast and lunch spot keeping hungry appetites satiated every day. Now located at Harsch’s Gresham Station Shopping Center, the restaurant has a newly expanded space and is excited to welcome Gresham back in for a sit-down dining experience.

Sweet Betty’s prides itself on service, with staff working quickly to take care of its customers and providing assistance with a sunny smile. Most items are under $12.00 and offer the classic American-breakfast experience. Home-style cinnamon French toast is a regular favorite while the mimosa bucket encourages brunch-goers to linger at their table a while longer. Lunch is also American classic: fresh and tasty burgers, sandwiches, soups and salads to fit any discerning palate.

The theme at Sweet Betty’s is a little bit cheeky; the music is a little bit loud, the gift shop is eclectic, and the decor is kitschy. At Sweet Betty’s, they have a sense of humor and believe going out to breakfast should be a fun event.

Harsch Investment Properties Welcomes Sweet Betty’s Bistro to Gresham Station Shopping Center

Gresham, OR – December 29, 2020 – Jordan Schnitzer, President of Harsch Investment Properties, announced a $20,000 donation to SnowCap Community Charities on behalf of The Harold & Arlene Schnitzer CARE Foundation. COVID-19 has had a significant impact on the way we all do business and has been the cause of heartache and food insecurity within the community. In response, Schnitzer felt the need to help this holiday season by donating funds to support SnowCap Community Charities. Harsch Investment Properties hosted a food distribution event for low-income families and those affected by the COVID-19 crisis at Gresham Station Shopping Center on Tuesday, December 29, 2020 from 12:00 p.m. – 2:00 p.m. The event was held on the corner of NW Civic Drive and NW 12th Street in Gresham, OR.

Over 628 families, which include 2,729 individuals, went home with a box of fresh produce, meat, and pantry essentials at the event. SnowCap will continue to serve East County additional food boxes over the next several weeks with the funds provided by the CARE Foundation.

“On behalf of all of us at Harsch Investment Properties and our tenants at Gresham Station, the thought that our neighbors and friends in East County may not have enough food on their table this holiday season breaks our hearts,” said Jordan Schnitzer, President of Harsch Investment Properties. “We are honored to work with SnowCap to provide the funding for 1,000 boxes of food that will be able to feed a family! There are always those who need a helping hand, but the COVID-19 pandemic has increased the need to reach out and help others. My philosophy has always been that those that can, must reach out and help others.”

Founded in the 1960s, SnowCap Community Charities works tirelessly at their mission to provide food, clothing, advocacy and other services to those in need who currently live east of 82nd within Multnomah County. SnowCap is the largest provider of food assistance in the State of Oregon. Last year, SnowCap distributed over 500,000 meals to more than 116,000 local people in need. SnowCap’s food pantry, clothing, utility assistance and mobile delivery programs provide direct assistance to low-income people with a focus on the most vulnerable populations, children and seniors. These direct service programs impact the lives of people who live in a world of food insecurity.

“This donation could not come at a better time. Low-income working families are struggling to make ends meet with many facing reduced and unpredictable work hours. Kids distance learning from home need nourishing food and seniors on fixed incomes are often facing tough choices when unexpected expenses come up,” said Kirsten Wageman, Executive Director of Snowcap Community Charities. “This generous gift is an encouragement to SnowCap and will provide over 3,000 people with plentiful food to brighten the end of a difficult year. We are grateful for this gift and for giving folks in need of something to celebrate!”

Halloween Spooktacular at Gresham Station

New farmers market will run 4-8:30 p.m. every Wednesday at Gresham Station through Aug. 28

As night neared, hundreds of Gresham residents explored the newest farmers market to come to the community — discovering more than local vendors showcasing the best local produce and handcrafted goods.

The Gresham Station Twilight Market kicked off the season with its inaugural market Wednesday, June 5, in the parking lot at the Gresham Station Shopping Center, 649 N.W. 12th St. The event is helmed by the Gresham Farmers Market, which hosts the popular Saturday festivities downtown.

But the minds behind the evening market wanted to provide an opportunity to partake in farmers market fun for those who normally can’t make it on the weekend.

Twilight Market debuts in Gresham

East Multnomah County residents can look forward to getting their fresh produce and other local or handmade items more often, as the Original Gresham Farmers Market (OGFM) will launch a new Twilight Market at Gresham Station Shopping Center starting in June. Due to high demand, OGFM is expanding to include a weeknight hours in a convenient location for those who live, work and play in East Multnomah County. The market is open on Wednesday evenings from June 5 to August 28 at 4:00 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. in the parking lot at Gresham Station Shopping Center, rain or shine. It will be the only weeknight market within the City of Gresham.

More than 40 local vendors are confirmed to join the Gresham Station Twilight Market, many of whom will also showcase their products at the Original Gresham Farmers’ Market on Saturdays. In addition to the local vendors, OGFM brings a wide selection of family-friendly activities, ranging from live music to petting zoos and local celebrities.

“Every Wednesday this summer, we’re bringing new vendors to the Gresham Station Twilight Market, as well as several of our Saturday market favorites,” said Jon Berlin, Market Manager. “We’re really looking forward to providing the community a mid-week opportunity to buy locallygrown food and offering them with a full farmers’ market experience.”

OGFM is partnering with Harsch Investment Properties, which acquired Gresham Station Shopping Center in September 2018. For those venturing from outside of Gresham, plenty of free parking is available at the shopping center. Additionally, for those who wish to utilize public transportation, the market is served by a nearby Trimet MAX Blue Line at stops at Civic Drive and Gresham City Hall.

“We are so excited to continue to make Gresham Station Shopping Center the place to be in Gresham,” said Jordan Schnitzer, President of Harsch Investment Properties. “The Twilight Market will offer the best in farm to table vegetables, meats, flowers, and more that all of us want for our families.”

Joy Poke opened its doors to customers with a ribbon cutting event on Friday, April 5, in Gresham Station, 649 N.W. 12th St. The new restaurant is helmed by Justin Hwang, who also founded Joy Teriyaki.

All of the proceeds during that first day were donated to the Mt. Hood Community College Foundation, which provides scholarships and support for students at the school.

Poke means “to slice or cut” in Hawaiian and refers to chunks of raw, marinated fish — usually tuna — which is then tossed over rice and topped with vegetables and umami-packed sauces. At Joy Poke, customers have complete control over the traditional Hawaiian dish, placing their order at the counter and picking from dozens of options.

Welcome to Gresham Station, Joy Poke!
